A total of six games fell by the wayside.

The headline fixture that fell victim to the weather was the Allianz Hurling League meeting of Kilkenny and Limerick on Sunday last, though the pitch at UPMC Nowlan Park was deemed to be unplayable after much rainfall on Saturday into Sunday morning.

It will now take place at the same venue on Saturday, March 15, which is a down weekend for the Allianz Hurling League. Hurling League games in Divisions 3 and 4 that also fell by the wayside last weekend will also be played on the same day and while the Laois-Carlow tie is fixed that weekend, it has yet to be confirmed for the Saturday or Sunday.

In football, the Division Four clash between promotion-chasing Wexford and Wicklow will now take place on Sunday week, while Sligo and Clare’s Division Three is the following day.Wexford v Wicklow, Chadwicks Wexford Park, 6pm.Saturday, March 15Allianz Hurling League Division 2Saturday/Sunday March 15/16To keep up to date with all the latest GAA news, sign-up to our GAA newsletter here.
