The Oak Leaf ladies match away to Fermanagh on Sunday was postponed after young Fianna Grace Harkin sadly died at home the day before.
The Derry Ladies Gaelic Football board have expressed their 'deepest sympathy' to the family of minor and senior county star Shannon Harkin after the tragic passing of her little sister at the weekend.
A statement from Derry LGFA said: "Derry LGFA wish to express their deepest sympathies to the Ballinascreen LGFA secretary Karen Harkin on the tragic loss of her little daughter Fianna and to her sister Shannon - our minor and senior county player.Read more: Dublin GAA county board makes Gaza stance clear with official statement
A police spokesperson said: "A post-mortem will be held in due course to establish the cause of death. Enquiries are ongoing, and there are no further details at this stage."
