The family of the young father-of-one have made a heartbreaking request to mourners planning to attend his funeral this weekend

A GAA club in Co Offaly and the wider community have been left 'devastated' following the tragic death of a talented young hurler.

"We keep the Cleary and Love Family in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis." "My deepest condolences to Bridget and Joe, Elaine and Hannah, Diarmuid and Shauna, Joe's teammates, work colleagues, and all his family and friends. Joe had the warmest of smiles and was always so friendly, a true Shinrone man to his core. Words will never be enough. May he rest in peace," one person said.

Joe left a huge impression on those he met while working at Liffey Mills, with customers hailing him for the friendliness and kindness he showed them when they visited the store.
