This GAA club mentor punched a referee in the back of the head, leaving him out of work for two weeks due to neck injuries, a court heard.
Appearing before Judge Grainne Malone at Wexford District Court on Monday, Mr McManus, who was dressed in a black jumper, black trousers and brown shoes, did not indicate a plea. He told the court that the injured party received a punch to the back of the head and had presented with neck injuries in hospital.Judge Malone asked if Mr McManus was a player to which she was told he was a “manager.”
