Ørsted is exploring the potential to develop a wind energy project in the Oatfield and Gortacullin areas of South-East Clare
GAA legend Davy Fitzgerald is wound up about the proposed construction of a wind farm with up to 11 turbines up to 180 metres tip height a short distance from his Clare home.The proposed turbines will be up to 180 metres tip height. According to the company, this has been decided following careful consideration of any potential landscape impact, with careful design and extensive modelling to ensure visual impacts are kept to a minimum.
Asked about his views about the proposed wind farm, Mr Fitzgerald said in a brief comment he is "100% not happy". RSK are the Planning and Environmental Consultants for the proposed Oatfield wind farm project and will prepare an Environmental Impact Assessment Report , which will be submitted alongside the planning application. This report examines the potential impacts the proposed project could have on the environment.
