The All-Ireland Senior Football Championship semi-finals take place this weekend
It's All-Ireland Senior Football Championship semi-final weekend and we have two cracking games to look forward to.
Of the four teams left in this year's Championship, Kerry are the most recent winners, having lifted the Sam Maguire in 2022. Only the Kingdom and Dublin have won the Championship more times than Galway, but their last success came 23 years ago. Donegal have of course been crowned champions since then, with Jim McGuinness guiding them to the Sam Maguire in 2012 and what an achievement it would be if he could do so again in his first year back at the helm.
Meanwhile, Armagh's last Championship victory came in 2002 and they are the outsiders of the four counties to be crowned champions this year, not that Kieran McGeeney and his men will be paying any attention to that. As well as the All-Ireland semi-finals, we also have the Tailteann Cup final between Down and Laois, which takes place on Saturday at Croke Park ahead of Armagh v Kerry.Down v Laois 3pm - RTE TwoDonegal v Galway - RTE Two and BBC Two Northern Ireland
