The town will remember young Oliwier following his tragic death
The Gainsborough community is aiming to paint the town green to mark the favourite colour of 15-year-old Oliwier Kaczmarowski – who was tragically found dead in the River Trent.
Specially-trained police teams conducted search operations for Oliwier, before a body, later confirmed as Oliwier, was tragically found and recovered some 200m away from the Flood Road bridge on Friday, May 26. It has left the Gainsborough community in a state of shock, and to pay respects to Oliwier’s family, a large event is being planned within the community to celebrate his life.
People are invited to decorate their homes and businesses with green colours, or wear green clothing, marking Oliwier’s favourite colour, as well as gathering and laying floral tributes for the 15-year-old.
