The man’s remains were found in the waterway at New Ross, Co Wexford at approximately 1:35pm.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene, and the male was pronounced deceased before his remains were taken to University Hospital Waterford, where a post mortem will be carried out.A Garda spokeswoman said investigations were ongoing, and no further information is available at this time. "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of an incident in which the body of a male was removed from the river at New Ross, Co Wexford, today, Monday 23rd October 2023, at approximately 1.35pm," she said.
"The male was pronounced deceased at the scene and has been taken to University Hospital Waterford where a post mortem examination will take place in due course."
