Gardaí have confirmed that they are investigating an assault captured in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

"Gardaí in Clontarf are investigation an incident of assault that occurred on the 21st April, 2019 on the Malahide Road, Donnycarney at approximately 10pm.It begins with a passenger in the passenger seat of a taxi asking the driver,"What's your favourite position?" before apparently referring to the driver by a racial slur.
