Threat was made by an individual who phoned a Samaritans helpline
Gardaí are investigating a bomb threat made against the Co Wicklow home of Taoiseach Simon Harris on Wednesday evening. The investigation is being led by the Garda Special Detective Unit, which is the State’s counter-terrorism investigative unit.
A spokesman for the Garda said the force “does not comment on security matters relating to Government Ministers or any elected representatives”. The bomb threats were made in separate phone calls, one to the Samaritans charity, before gardaí removed her husband Paul Hickey and their two boys, aged two and one, from their home in Co Meath.
