Residential burglaries down by 50% across Ireland, garda stats show
Burglaries in residential areas across Ireland have seen a huge decline in activity from winter 2014 to winter 2018.This also saw a drop of 10% from last year alone as the figure was 6,613.
Assistant Garda Commissioner John O’Driscoll said: “The positive conclusion to the Winter Phase of Operation Thor is encouraging and we will refocus and build on that success in Operation Thor, during the summer months.
