Gardai probing incident believe man at golf club accidentally shot by hunter
A man in his 40s was wounded and rushed to the Mater Hospital in the capital but has non life-threatening injuries. The Armed Support Unit rushed to the scene after the panic caused by the incident.
But it was quickly established that the victim had been shot by accident. Both he and the hunter are not known to each other. "The man who was injured thankfully is doing OK in hospital. The gardai are following all lines of inquiry but it does appear at this stage it is an accident."
