The Irish Mirror has learned that investigators probing the death of 74-year-old Jenny Drew suspect the motorist may have been temporarily dazzled by the low sun.
Gardai probing the death of a cyclist were last night investigating if the car driver that struck her may have been blinded by the sun.The accident happened on the Cootehill Road just outside Monaghan town at around 1.20pm on Saturday.
She had been involved in Meals On Wheels in Monaghan town for a number of years helping the elderly and vulnerable in the town. She was a regular cyclist in the town and was also involved in the local yoga club. Jenny is survived by her husband Matt, daughter Karen, son Barry, son-in-law Anthony and her sister Mary.
