Gardai launch search for two teenage girls missing from same Meath town

Gardaí have launched a search appeal for two teenage girls who have been missing from the same Meath town for a number of days. 16-year-old Laynah Murphy was reported missing from Enfield, Meath, on Monday, September 2.

Laynah was last seen at approximately 5:40pm. Laynah is described as being approximately five foot five inches in height, with a slim build, black hair and blue eyes. When Laynah went missing, she was wearing cream joggers, with a grey zip-up top, and black and white runners. It is believed that Laynah may have travelled to the Sligo or Dublin areas and it is possible that Laynah is accompanied by another young female. Caoimhe is described as being approximately five foot one inch in height, with a slim build, red hair and blue eyes. When Caoimhe went missing, she was wearing a blue crop jumper, grey tracksuit bottoms, and white runners. Caoimhe is known to frequent the Rathcormac and Fermoy areas of Cork. It is also believed that Caoimhe may have travelled to the Sligo or Dublin areas and it is also possible that Caoimhe is accompanied by another young female. Although it is understood that a pair of girls may be travelling together, a Garda spokesperson told the Irish Mirror that they cannot confirm this for sure.
