After Noone: Social media superstar Garron Noone opens up about wowing the nation on The Late Late Show country special, moving to Dublin and the meanings behind his name and famous 'Delicious' catchphrase
I was very lucky. I didn’t know how it was going to go and I didn’t know how the country music fans were going to respond to me. Everyone was so nice, so I’m happy out.Daniel O’Donnell! I had to pick my jaw up off the floor, I was drooling everywhere. He’s the most handsome man in country music and an absolute legend of Ireland.
That’s good that you’re seeing a positive side to social media. Were you ever afraid of getting the negativity that so many other content creators receive? I love the genetics I’ve got, Mayo people are more handsome than other people . I love the laid-back nature of the people of the West. I get a lot of credit for my turn of phrase and my humour, but 90% of that is just how people speak. I owe a lot to where I come from. The West has more pride than anywhere else in Ireland. When I was on The Late Late Show , most of what I said was ‘Up Mayo’, ‘Let’s go Mayo’ and ‘We’re on The Late Late , Mayo’.
