Despite a losing streak and a lack of experience, Wales head coach Warren Gatland is confident his team can defy expectations in the upcoming Guinness Six Nations. Gatland believes that Wales' underdog status will drive them forward and that they can build momentum throughout the tournament.

And while head coach Gatland has been able to reinforce his squad with returning players like Liam Williams, Josh Adams and Taulupe Faletau – they have 255 caps between them – a tall order awaits. “You pick youngsters, and it takes a little bit of time. Some of the youngsters, seeing them develop is going to be a real positive.“And I said the same thing before the World Cup . After tackling France, Wales face Italy in Rome – the scene of their last Six Nations victory in March 2023 – then host Ireland and England either side of meeting Scotland at Murrayfield.
