Geek Retreat Preston has closed its doors, just eight months after opening in the city centre.A post on Geek Retreat Preston’s Facebook page today says: “We’re very sorry to announce that due to the sustained and severe anti-social behaviour experienced at the Preston Geek Retreat store over recent months, we feel that it is impossible to ensure the safety of employees and customers.

“We would like to thank every one of you for your kindness, support and great times. Stay safe and we’ll be in touch soon.” “This is an issue which we are aware of with many businesses reporting crime and antisocial behaviour. On behalf of city centre businesses, we have requested that the Chief Constable of Lancashire Constabulary meet with city centre businesses to address their concerns, and agree a proactive way forward.
