Hollywood actress Octavia Spencer has lead the tributes to former General Hospital actress Sonya Eddy, as the star announced her close friend's death on Tuesday evening
General Hospital actress Sonya Eddy has sadly died at the age of 55, her close friend Octavia Spencer announced this evening – as she paid tribute to the star and dubbed her a "creative angel”.
A number of famous faces also shared Octavia’s grief as they commented on her post with messages of support.While Sonya’s former co-star General Hospital actor Kin Shriner expressed his deepest sorrow as he wrote: “R.I.P. Sonya u will be so missed . What a sense of humor she had. So sad . General Hospital will never be the same.”
Best known for her role as Epiphany Johnson, a head nurse and mother of the late Stan Johnson in General Hospital, Sonya starred in an impressive 543 episodes of the drama before passing away. Following the announcement of her death, many fans flooded Octavia’s post with messages of grief and support, as they mourned Sonya’s loss.
