George Groves has told talkSPORT.com that he had a great time boxing Callum Smith out in Saudi Arabia for the country’s first ever world title fight back in 2018.
The organisers agreed to take the fight to Saudi Arabia in a deal which has since been followed by several high profile Middle East boxing events. “So visas were nigh-on impossible, you couldn’t buy a ticket without a visa and you couldn’t get a visa without a ticket.“And that was the same when I went out there for Joshua vs Andy Ruiz.“But it’s an interesting place to go.”Now, Groves is retired and starting his own podcast –“I’ve been waiting for someone who knows how to put a podcast together to steer me in the right direction,” he explained.
