Gerry Conlon's haunting final words sets record straight on torture, false confessions and dad's murder
Those are the first explosive words from miscarriage of justice victim Gerry Conlon in the last interview he gave before his death.
In the documentary, Conlon tells director Lorenzo Moscia: “My father was transferred back from [Hammersmith] hospital to Wormwood Scrubs. At one point in the hard-hitting documentary, the cameras are switched off as Conlon breaks down recalling the horror of prison. “I mean for a long long time, it was like every day was like... hell couldn’t have been harder because this actually was a living hell.”
“There are other cases where people served longer, but none of them as category A prisoners in open prisons where it was open season on the Irish.”
