With energy costs still high amid the cost of living crisis, many people are struggling to pay their bills. And despite the lower energy price cap , the pressure on family finances is only expected to get harder this winter. Thankfully, help is available for families in England from the Department for Work and Pensions 's Household Support Fund . This is a cash fund divided among councils in England and can be used in different ways to help local households with essentials.
Doncaster Eligible families in the City of Doncaster have been receiving 3 payments toward food costs as part of the Household Support Fund. People of working age can now also receive a payment of £75 towards energy bills in January 2024.
