Tenants on Charles Street are 'terrified' to leave their homes, insisting the rodents have now become 'used to the residents' and continue to run riot in the neighbourhood.

A Scots resident is scared to leave his home and claims his neighbours are too after 60 huge rats reportedly invaded their building.

Speaking to Glasgow Live John said: "They are right at the front door of the building we live in, people are terrified to leave - this matter needs to be dealt with right now. In shocking video footage multiple rats can be seen scurrying over residents' bins which are located at the front of the high-rise building.

Images taken of a grass area located next to the building show large rat nests which have been fenced off however, John says "The fence is pointless, it needs to be dealt with properly, it's horrific".
