The Giants find themselves in prime position to bounce back from a loss as they welcome a one-win Texans team to East Rutherford, N.J.
Brian Daboll and Lovie Smith were both tasked with taking over a struggling team and putting the pieces together that would yield success. Ten weeks into the season, Daboll is cruising, while Smith doesn’t appear to have located the corner pieces to that puzzle just quite yet.
The Texans average 16.6 points, and that’s a number that’s been dropping over the past four weeks. Houston hasn’t been able to score more than 20 points since Oct. 2 and now must go up against a stout New York defense that allows its fewest points per contest since 2016. The Giants have been outscored through the first 30 minutes of action in three of their last four games and have carried a lead of at least three points into the break just once this season — back in Week 4 against the Chicago Bears.
