The Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District is selling native seeds and plants better suited to the local environment,CLEVELAND, Ohio – If you are looking for a last-minute Christmas gift with a green twist, consider the Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District’s selection of native seeds, plants, trees and shrubs.
The Soil & Water & Conservation District suggests “shrinking your lawn” by replacing turf grass with native plants. The district sells native seeds year around, but if you order by noon Thursday, they will be mailed by that evening, hopefully in time to arrive by Christmas. The names of the available packs are Mesic Woodland Edge, Rain Garden, Ohio Pollinator Oasis, Butterfly/Hummingbird, Midwest Wildflower Mix, and Annual Seed Mix. All are $16 except Annual Seed Mix, which is $13, plus tax.
