Parents and carers with children at home and who receive council tax reduction are eligible for the grant.
Glasgow families are being urged to apply for financial help for their energy bills with a new one-off £49 fuel top-up payment online.
Access to the support is available via the Glasgow City Council website – www.glasgow.gov.uk/fuelsupport – and residents who meet the criteria can receive the money directly to their bank accounts or by top-up voucher. The fund, announced in October as part of the City Budget, is to give additional help during the cost-of-living crisis to families most in need.
“Since October we have seen a steady rise in applications to the fund, but we know that many more families who are eligible have not applied, and I would urge them to do so now.
