A Glasgow flight had to be diverted to remove an 'appalling and aggressive' passenger.

reports that the 61-year-old was 'intoxicated' and 'shouted and punched' crew members, hitting her face on her seat as she did so.

Jet2 confirmed that the woman had been banned from using the airline for life and they apologised to other passengers who were affected by the incident. A spokesperson said: “Flight LS199 from Glasgow to Antalya diverted to Thessaloniki Airport on the evening of Sunday, October 15, so that a disruptive customer could be offloaded after she demonstrated a continued pattern of appalling and aggressive behaviour onboard.

"As a family-friendly airline, we take a zero-tolerance to disruptive behaviour, and we can confirm that the customer has been banned for life. "We would like to thank our highly trained crew for their handling of this incident, however, they should never have to deal with such behaviour.Readers’ comments: You are personally liable for the content of any comments you upload to this website, so please act responsibly.
