Junction 1's main stage has been scrapped by Glasgow City Council after fuming locals complained about 'loud noise' coming from its recent summer festival.

A council spokeswoman told Glasgow Live: “Our licensing and environmental health officers held an urgent meeting with the licence holder for Junction 1 today to discuss the noise complaints received about the venue and the breach of licensing conditions last weekend. Environmental Health chiefs will head to the site on Saturday to make sure the venue is complying with the new rules.

One wrote on social media: "Junction 1 Glasgow, day four of hearing this s**t even with the windows shut. Are you taking the p**s?" Ms Thewliss wrote "I have had quite a number of constituents in touch about this already. If you haven't already please email [email protected] and I'll follow up.
