Families will be able to pick up free school uniform in the city centre.
Glasgow families can save on expenses this year with a new initiative, which will see a city centre venue offer free uniform exchanges.
The ‘Smart Start’ initiative will see locals donate good quality school uniforms, with items available to collect for anyone completely free of charge with no questions asked.Speaking ahead of the launch, Leith Collective founder Sara Thomson said: “Kids grow so quickly. “Our Smart Start initiative aims to make it as easy as possible for people to donate their unwanted uniforms, so that someone in need can make use of them.”
Sara continued: “Smart Start is a sustainable solution that aims to keep quality clothes out of landfill and in use for longer, thus promoting a circular economy and helping reduce the environmental impact of the textile industry.”
