Schools will use Scottish Government pupil equity funding to meet the costs.
Up to £20 million is to be spent on providing mental health and well being support to schools in Glasgow over the next eight years.
The contract aims to give kids aged from five support through schools and provide interventions as well as access to mental health and well being workers among other measures. Money to pay for the service would come from the schools' pupil equity funds, which is Scottish Government cash provided to primaries and secondaries based on how many pupils get free school meals.
