A much-loved Glasgow museum housed within a city tenement has been named among the top spots to experience 'true Scottish history'.

Among the buildings to have made the list are Stirling Castle, Melrose Abbey, Real Mary King’s Close in Edinburgh and the Hill House in Helensburgh - designed by Glasgow's own Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh.And joining them on the list is none other than Tenement House, which Lonely Planet labelled "a cozy Glasgow time warp" and a place which provides "a charming evocation of middle-class life".
