God of War Ragnarök Gameplay Video Shows New Combat Moves
. This snippet of gameplay demonstrates some of Kratos’ new moves and enemies, like the reptilian Grims, in action. Kratos can now use the Triangle button to endow his Blades of Chaos and Leviathan Axe with fire and ice, respectively. He seems more agile in the video, too, as he is able to grapple around with his Blades and attack more fluidly from high ledges.
Kratos will even have access to new shields that have different properties. For example, one shield, as, is more about parrying while the other is geared towards blocking. This second shield can’t parry, but it can unleash a shockwave once it gets struck enough times. These are only two examples of the multiple shields in the game.
