GoFundMe shuts down $1million page claiming to be raising cash for Amber Heard
GoFundMe closed an account falsely raising money for actress Amber Heard. The account sought to raise $1M to help her pay off her ex-husband Johnny Depp.
The fundraiser, created by someone named Kimberly Moore, was closed after GoFundMe determined it wasn't associated with Heard or her team. Heard was ordered to pay Depp $15M after a jury found her guilty of defamation. She also won a $2M verdict against Depp, leaving her owing him $8.35M. Her attorney has said Heard cannot afford to pay the amount she owes Depp
