When Nadia and Laila Gohar launched the first collection of their surrealist home brand, Gohar World, one object, in particular, kept flying out of stock. It was a baguette-shaped bag in black silk, meant to fit the precise measurements of a bread loaf – and a bread loafThe sisters soon realised they were on to something.
“We are very into these very singular use objects that are in no way, shape or form necessities, but we think that they sort of make life a little bit more exciting,” Laila tellsSo, from their Chinatown studio, they began dreaming up a new variation of their cult design.in collaboration with Super Yaya, the brand of Lebanese-born, Cote D’Ivoire-raised designer Rym Beydoun.
