Katie-George Dunlevy and Linda Kelly turn the tables on their British rivals, Eve McCrystal retires with a podium finish as Josie Healion wins a first championship medal
Ireland's Paralympic heroes on the road have struck for gold and bronze at the 2024 UCI Road and Para-cycling World Championships in Zurich.
Josephine Healion, who was piloted by Eve McCrystal, also finished on the podium after just missing out in the recent Paralympics.READ MORE: Paralympic stars return to Ireland after six-medal haul in Paris Dunlevy and Kelly paired up to win the individual time trial in Paris and again at the World Championships, and they took their form into their Road Race world title defence.
In the closing stages the two Irish tandems worked with their British rivals, but it was Dunlevy and Kelly who proved the strongest team this time as they moved clear to finish 1 minute 23 seconds ahead of Unwin and Holl.
