The watch is expected to go for between £100,000 and £150,000 when it goes to auction at Henry Aldridge & Sons’ auctioneer house in Devizes, Wiltshire. Mr Astor’s son, Vincent, passed the watch to the son of his father’s executive secretary, William Dobbyn. The watch was “completely restored”, Mr Aldridge said.
