Google has confirmed it is cutting 240 jobs in Ireland.
The layoffs are part of a global reduction in the tech giant’s workforce.AdvertisementThe layoffs will be in sales, technology and engineering and ‘support functions’.
Announcing the global job cuts last month, company CEO Sundar Pichai said he took “full responsibility for the decisions” that have led to the company needing to reduce its workforce.
