Gordon Elliott is one of many Irish trainers boating over to mount an assault on the Cheltenham Festival in 2025, and he’ll fancy his chances to take home a hefty chunk of prize money
Gordon Elliott leads Cullentra’s battalion of Irish raiders to the Cheltenham Festival this week, hoping to build on his three winners last time out.
What is Gordon Elliott’s net worth? Though Elliott’s exact net worth is unknown, if his winnings since 2006 are anything to go by, then the 47-year-old’s fortune is likely an eye-watering figure. His trips to Aintree for the Grand National have been particularly fruitful, too. He's won the iconic race, now worth €600k to the winner, three times - once with Silver Birch in 2007 and twice with the legendary Tiger Roll in 2018 and 2019. Last season, he raked in €1.9m from British wins.
Seven years on, with plenty of winners under his belt, he would enjoy his best year to date, as he finished top of the pile in eight races. In 2024, he took home a tally of three, and this upcoming renewal promises once again to be a successful one for the Elliott camp. Another who has taken onlookers aback this season is monstrous mare Brighterdayshead. The six-year-old has failed to finish in front just once in her still young career - when being pipped by Golden Ace in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at the Festival one year ago - but her improvement has been notable.
