The attacking midfielder came through the youth ranks at Goodison Park and made his senior debut in a 3-0 Europa League away win over Apollon Limassol in December 2017.

It was a while before Gordon properly broke into the first team with the 21-year-old making just 14 Premier League appearances in the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons combined.His loan spell at Preston North End in the second half of 2020/21 did him good as it led to him playing 40 matches in all competitions for Everton in the 2021/22 campaign.

Gordon scored four Premier League goals and created another two for his team-mates last term with other Premier League clubs now taking an interest.
