As we near the festive season, the 2023 Christmas bonus payment is only weeks away as the government have confirmed the date that people can expect to receive it
The government have confirmed the date that social welfare recipients can expect to be paid the bonus.
This comes as there will be another bonus in January, which is part of Budget 2024's cost of living package.Thousands of people will receive their Christmas double payment during the week of the 4th of December.Who gets a Christmas Bonus? A Christmas Bonus is paid to people getting long-term social welfare payments.Living Alone Increase, the Island Allowance and the Over-80 Increase were also listed as groups being paid.
Who doesn't get the payment? Those on Working Family Payment , Fuel Allowance and Maternity Benefit will not get a double payment. How much is the Christmas bonus? The Christmas Bonus in 2023 is worth 100% of your normal weekly payment.
