Taoiseach insists ‘no attempt to deceive’ but he is ‘extremely disappointed’ completions less than official 33,000 target

She said “you deliberately used a figure when you had to have known it would not be delivered”, adding that “you openly and knowingly deceived the public” during the general election campaign. Mr Martin told Ms McDonald that “the bottom line is that your programme for housing” failed to convince the electorate.
