Independent panel to determine sum to be paid to women over non-disclosure of audit

The establishment of an ex gratia scheme for hundreds of women caught up in the CervicalCheck controversy has been announced by Minister for HealthThe scheme will be open to the 221 women who developed cervical cancer, or their next of kin in cases where they have died, and were not told of an audit that was carried out on their smear tests after their diagnosis.
