There are seven races on the card at Gowran Park
It's the race that stops a county and thousands of punters are set to descend on Gowran Park for the Thyestes Handicap Chase on Thursday.
Four different trainers and four different jockeys have won the race in the past four years - Coko Beach 2021 , Longhouse Poet 2022 , Carefully Selected 2023 and Ain't That A Shame 2024 . Unsurprisingly, local trainer Willie Mullins is responsible for the favourite, Nick Rockett, who will be partnered by Paul Townend, while Yeah Man runs for the in-form team of Gavin Cromwell and Keith Donoghue. Mullins has five runners in the race, while Gordon Elliott runs six.
The Galmoy Hurdle is among the races on the supporting card and it is a contest that has seen the likes of Teahupoo, Benie Des Dieux and Presenting Percy win, while Monkfish triumphed 12 months ago. Here's a full list of the runners and riders, as well as a tip for each race and you can read Brian Flanagan's tips for today's action here:2 Scodar S Cleary-Farrell 6 Coral River Danny Mullins10 Stretchemout D J Gilligan1 The Big Cloud Sean O'Keeffe5 Aspurofthemoment Keith Donoghue9 Prince Quattro P Hanlon 13 Drum Roll Sean Flanagan17 Cramers Valley A P Kelly 2.
