The Grammy Awards 2022 are postponed GRAMMYs
One of the biggest nights in pop music, The Grammy's, has been postponed and will no longer take place at the end of the month.
The statement from The Grammy Awards read: "After careful consideration and analysis with city and state officials, health and safety experts, the artist community and our many partners, the Recording Academy and CBS have postponed the 64th Annual Grammy Awards Show." "Given the uncertainty surrounding the Omicron variant, holding the show on January 31 simply contains too many risks."
Trevor Noah hosted the huge music bash in 2021 and the South African comedian, 37, will have to wait to entertain his stellar audience. The postponement comes ahead of the biggest night in UK pop music on 8 February. Next month's BRIT Awards will be hosted by funnyman Mo Gilligan in the 02 Arena, London.
