It could be the hottest day of the year so far in our region today
Police have issued a warning on open water swimming on what could be Greater Manchester's hottest day of the year so far.
In a post on social media this morning, Greater Manchester Police warned people not to jump into open water just because it is warm. Officers also gave advice on what to do if anyone came into difficulty. "Jumping into open water can be fatal", officers warned. "Cold water shock kills and you don’t know what’s lurking beneath the surface."
