Gregg Wallace, the 60-year-old presenter of BBC1's MasterChef, has stepped down from the show amid allegations of inappropriate behavior. Reports suggest Wallace wandered into the MasterChef studios naked, wearing only a sock over his private parts, among other misconducts over several years. The BBC is investigating the complaints made by 13 individuals, including former Newsnight host Kirsty Wark, who claim Wallace made inappropriate sexual comments.

The probe is addressing all the complaints, including an allegation the former market trader came into the MasterChef studios starkers apart from a strategically placed sock before performing a "silly dance".
Wallace has presented MasterChef alongside John Torode since 2005, as well as its spin-offs Celebrity MasterChef and MasterChef: The Professionals. Recorded episodes of MasterChef: The Professionals featuring Wallace will transmit as planned, with the next episode due to air on Thursday, it is understood.
