When we received news that our son Joshua had been killed in a road accident in South East Asia, we were thrown into a state of utter confusion and despair. Nothing had or could have prepared us for such a calamity.

How we survived those early days of grief is still a mystery. But survive we have, and the last 11 years have shown us that human beings and, in particular, have an extraordinary ability to rise above the most horrendous, most debilitating of circumstances.
