Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said deputies walked into a"grizzly scene" in the 7000 block of Hickory Ridge Drive at around 1:15 a.m. The female victim had managed to call 911 saying the man had shot her before the call was disconnected. When dispatchers attempted to call back, the man answered verifying that he shot the woman and was going to shoot her again before turning the gun on himself, Salazar said.
