A group of youths allegedly caused chaos in the Blanchardstown area of Dublin on Monday night as a number of teenagers were seen "climbing buildings".A witness told Dublin Live that both librarians and students were asked to leave the library following a disturbance and, once outside, some teenagers were spotted climbing buildings.

Outside the premises at the front, there was also a large gathering of young people.

"Students were frightened and shocked, and librarians were unable to take control of the situation," the witness revealed.A spokesperson for Fingal County Council, which runs Blanchardstown Library, confirmed that there was a "disturbance" at the library on the evening in question. The spokesperson revealed: "There was a disturbance in Blanchardstown Library on Monday 30th January at 6.50pm among a group of teenagers who were studying at the Library. Staff at the Library calmed the situation and called shopping centre security and An Garda Síochána.The Irish Mirror has contacted An Garda Siochana for comment.
