A journalist from The Guardian implied that J.K. Rowling's statements on gender were more controversial than allegations of violence against actors in films based on her books.

Actor Ezra Miller, 29, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and harassment shortly after midnight on Monday, March 28, 2022 after an incident at a bar in Hilo, Hawaii, police said. Bail was set at $500, which he paid, and he was released.
