Ex-Premier League duo make cameos as Man City players in Ted Lasso MCFC
Pep Guardiola made a hilarious cameo appearance in the latest episode of the hit series Ted Lasso.stuck to his real life role in the show, with a duo of former Premier League stars spotted as two of his players.Bothroyd and Elokobi also featured in the latest episodeMain character Lasso, played by American actor Jason Sudeikis, is the head coach of fictional Premier League club AFC Richmond.
Guardiola replied: "Don't worry about who wins or loses. Just help these guys be the best version of themselves on and off the pitch. This, at the end, is the most important thing."Before kick-off, one eagle-eyed fan onalso noticed ex-Premier League stars Jay Bothroyd and George Elokobi walking out onto the pitch.
Bothroyd made 62 appearances in the top flight across spells at Coventry, Blackburn, Charlton and QPR, with Elokobi featuring 59 times for Wolves.
